About the Rally

If you’re a banger rally diehard then Ramshackle Krakow may be just the adventure for you. It's a rally with an attitude and it's not an easy ride. The days are long, the nights are longer and when you're not behind the wheel or propping up a bar at one of the magnificent venues you'll be crying for a little bit of shut eye to take away the pain.

It’s a character building adventure endurance test that is all about guts and gusto. There is the usual Ramshackle sized helping of absurdity and bucket loads of camaraderie because this rally takes you and your banger to within an inch of your lives and keeps you there for 4 long days.

The rally lasts for four days as teams compete in the daily challenges to score points and win a place on the legendary Cannonball Run. (Europe)

Support

Support - are you out of your mind? We could have arranged for support vehicles driven by master mechanics to follow behind with supplies, spares, caskets and the like, but we haven't. What fun would that be?

Teams taking part in this event are un-supported. That means the responsibility of looking after yourself falls strictly onto your own shoulders.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Remember this is supposed to be a character building experience and breaking down in the foothills of the Tatry mountains when you're 50 miles from anything, it's getting dark and nobody speaks English is quality entertainment!

On Your Marks...

The rally itself runs from the 1st - 4th August 2008. Registration will take place the evening before the start of the rally so you should aim to be in Calais by the evening of the 31st July 2008.

Scrapping of bangers will take place in the morning on the 5th August 2008.

Theme Your Team

Giving your banger a seriously flashy paint job is all part of enjoying the rally. There will be a prize awarded to the team with the best overall theme taking the banger and the team members into account.

This prize will be judged on originality so there's no need to worry if you're no Picasso. Put your creative caps on and let's make this into the biggest mobile fancy dress party in the world!

Prizes

This is winner takes all and it's worth fighting for. The team taking the cake in Ramshackle Krakow 2008 will walk away with free entry to the legendary Cannonball Run Europe 2009. Entry to the Cannonball Run Europe is worth £4500-00!

The prize is for a team of two and includes: ferry crossings, accommodation, parking, breakfasts, evening meals, arrival drinks at each hotel, selected lunches, track day, final night party (including accommodation), car decals and route packs. Additional team members may be added to the prize by making a supplement payment to Cannonball Run Europe Events directly.

Entry Fee's

Entry fees for Ramshackle Krakow 2008 are detailed below. A team consists of a banger and 2, 3, or 4 team members. Each team must have a minimum of 2 licensed drivers. The maximum number of members in any team is 4.
