THE DOCUMENTS

All the documents below must be produced at the registration in order for you to successfully register for the rally. If any of your documents have been eaten by your dog then save yourself the trip to Calais, as you will not be allowed to start the rally. All documents must be originals as we will be unable to accept faxes, photocopies, forgeries, promises, or letters from your mum! The validity of each document will be checked and must extend up to and including the last day of the rally.

TAX DISC
This is the little round thing in the window which can invalidate insurance if it is out of date. Your vehicle must be taxed up to and including the last day of the rally, and yes you do need UK tax regardless of the fact that the vehicle is not in the UK.

MOT CERTIFICATE
This is the certificate which is issued annually when cars are checked to make sure they are safe to drive and meet environmental regulations. Your responsibility to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive and complies with regulations extends over and above the possession of an MOT certificate but you must provide this certificate at registration.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
This is the certificate your insurers will send to you to confirm that you are insured. The certificate must name at least two drivers and must cover you for Europe. You must provide this original certificate as we will be unable to accept cover notes or any other schedule other than this certificate.
DRIVERS LICENCCR
Now this may seem self explanatory but for the less than marvellous amongst us, this is the predominantly pink plastic card with your mug shot on it which allows you to control a vehicle under certain conditions. There must be at least 2 licensed drivers per team both of whom must produce their original drivers licence at registration.
V5 CERTIFICATE
This is the double sized multi colour all singing all dancing form which the DVLA send to you when a car is transferred into your name. This will also be required if you wish to scrap your car at the end of the rally. Please remember that the DVLA can take up to 3 weeks to send this to you once you have registered the vehicle so make sure you get your banger in good time. The registered keeper of the vehicle MUST be one of the team members.
