About the Rally

Ramshackle Valencia is the epitome of absurdity. The willing participants must place their trust in a hundred quid's worth of scrap metal and set off on an epic banger rally covering 1450 miles. One hundred teams will compete in what promises to be the craziest banger rally on the European circuit before joining in with 40,000 others lobbing squashed tomato's at each other. Sounds fairly tame from a Ramshackle perspective!

The rally lasts for four days as teams compete in the daily challenges to score points and simply put the team with the most points at the end of it all is the winner.

Support

Support - are you out of your mind? We could have arranged for support vehicles driven by master mechanics to follow behind with supplies, spares, caskets and the like, but we haven't. What fun would that be?

Teams taking part in this event are un-supported. That means the responsibility of looking after yourself falls strictly onto your own shoulders. Don't worry, you'll be fine. Remember this is supposed to be a character building experience!

On Your Marks...

The rally itself runs from the 22nd - 25th August 2008. Registration will take place the evening before the start of the rally so you should aim to be in Calais by the evening of the 21st August 2008.

The La Tomatina festival takes place on the 27th August 2008 in Bunol, just outside Valencia. Teams should not expect to be back in Valencia any earlier than 4pm if you are attending the festival.

Theme Your Team

Giving your banger a seriously flashy paint job is all part of enjoying the rally. There will be a prize awarded to the team with the best overall theme taking the banger and the team members into account.

This prize will be judged on originality so there's no need to worry if you're no Picasso. Put your creative caps on and let's make this into the biggest mobile fancy dress party in the world!

Entry Fee's

Entry fees for Ramshackle Valencia 2008 are detailed below. A team consists of a banger and 2, 3, or 4 team members. Each team must have a minimum of 2 licensed drivers. The maximum number of members in any team is 4.
